Owner / Barre & Yoga Instructor
Andrea is the owner of The Barre Clinic and our sister business Southside Clinic.
Having trained in classical ballet, jazz and contemporary dance since the age of 3, and having danced professionally for 12 years, as well as being a qualified Osteopath, Naturopath and Nutritionist, Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her classes.
Andrea’s dancing credits include soloist replacement at the Moulin Rouge in Paris; International Ballet in Son Amar, Spain; Carnival Cruises, USA, and many corporate, film and television credits through her agent in Sydney, Grayboy Entertainment.
Andrea is a qualified Pilates instructor through Dance Medicine Australia and is also a qualified Yoga Teacher in the Purna Yoga style through Byron Yoga School. Andrea is a certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and is the author of ‘The Nutrition Detective Solution – 80 Days to Vitality’ which can be purchased online at The Nutrition Detective Solution website.
Senior Administrator, Barre and Clinical Pilates Instructor
Paula has had a passion for dance since she was three years old. She has practiced many forms of dance from an early age including classical ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary. She pursued her dance education through her teens and early twenties graduating from Certificate III and IV in Dance Performance Studies from Australian Dance Vision.
Paula has also completed her Diploma in Clinical Pilates through Breathe Education and leads our Clinical Pilates team at Southside Clinic. She has a passion for working with pre and post op patients and pre and post natal women.
As the Senior Administrator of The Barre Clinic, Paula brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, from her degree in design, to her years of experience managing large retail teams.
Tessa has been a dance enthusiast since the age of 5. She has practiced many forms of dance from an early age including classical ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary. Tessa studied Dance in Year 12 as part of her SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education) and has competed in numerous State Dance competitions, exams, concerts and performances.
After high school, Tessa stopped dancing to focus on her studies. In 2007 she completed a double degree – Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education (Junior Primary/ Primary) – specialising in Primary French Teaching. After university, Tessa moved to France to teach English. Upon her return to Australia, Tessa decided on a career change and accepted a job as a Flight Attendant.
Anthony began his ballet training in Melbourne with Kathleen Gorham and Martin Rubinstein and later continuing and graduating from the Australian Ballet School. He then embarked on a 13-year professional career which took him to Queensland Ballet, P.A.C.T Ballet, Johannesburg, South Africa, New London Ballet, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Dusseldorf, and Ballet Mainz, Germany. During this time he performed as a soloist in all the classic full-length ballets and many one-act contemporary and avant-garde works.
Retiring from dance at the age of 32, Anthony completed full time studies in business management in Frankfurt, Germany and thereafter took up a position with Merrill Lynch in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1989 he returned to Australia with his wife and young daughter and took up engagements as a freelance teacher with the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, Centre for Performing Arts, Adelaide (later AC arts) and 7 years teaching ballet with the dance course at the University of Adelaide. An 18 year absence from dance following while Anthony was employed by the SA State government in HR. During this period, Anthony taught for local ballet schools around Adelaide, South Australian Youth Ballet, Terry Simpson Studios and Sheila Laing Ballet Academy.
Anthony recently retired from his position in the SA State Government and is returning to his love of dance and passion for passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of young talent.
Ally is originally from Tasmania and trained at the Australian Ballet School, the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and the New Zealand School of Dance. She is currently based in Adelaide but a company member of Dantzaz in San Sebastian, Spain and will be rejoining the company in January 2019.
Ally teaches ballet for our online studio tBC_TV, filming classes all the way from her studio in Spain.
Lisa has been involved in dance for many years, starting with ballet at a young age and progressing into jazz, tap and contemporary styles of dance. With her desire to try new activities, Lisa became interested in vinyasa yoga and reformer Pilates. Crossing these two passions, she found herself pulled into the world of barre.
Lisa moved to Adelaide in 2018 to work for Breast Screen South Australia as a Mammographic Radiographer. With a Bachelor Degree in Science (Exercise Science) and a Masters in Diagnostic Radiography, Lisa has a thorough knowledge of the human body and its physiological adaptations through exercise.
Lisa completed her barre training as a member of the first graduating class of the new Barre Clinic Teacher Training Program developed by Andrea Robertson.
Lisa is an extremely vibrant, enthusiastic person who will encourage you to reach your training goals.
Pamela moved to Adelaide from the Gold Coast, where she was teaching Barre for over a year. Originally from the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Pamela worked as a professional Emcee, TV and radio host, dancer, choreographer, and Barre instructor.
Performing Arts has always been a huge part of her life and although she took time to finish her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Multimedia, she knew her path would lead her back to dance and has since managed to fuse her different paths together. She started out with a background in Ballet and technical jazz and since then, she has performed for many major companies, TV, and musical theatre, honing different styles of dance.
With a passion for teaching, dance and fitness; BARRE was heaven-sent and she jumped at the opportunity to get certified in June 2015.

Ballet and HIIT Instructor and Trainee Barre Instructor
Bridget has been dancing since she was 3 years old, but didn’t find her love for ballet until she was 13. Since then Bridget has completed many RAD Ballet exams, most recently Advanced Foundation.
She has just moved back to Adelaide after studying a Diploma in Musical Theatre and a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management through Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance in Melbourne.
Bridget hopes to share her love for dance and fitness while pursuing her career as a professional dancer.
Trainee Barre Instructor
Holly discovered dance a little later in life, when a belly dance teacher started giving classes in mid-North South Australia. Holly instantly fell in love with the music and costuming, and has since studied with Myra Fallon and Gülten Bulca, and has attended intensives with Rose Ottaviano (WA), Phynia Anastas (WA), Lakita (Byron Bay), Ashley Lopez (USA) and Ozgen (Turkey).
Holly is completing her Bachelor of Speech Pathology and is working towards completing The Barre Clinic instructor training. Since starting as a receptionist for the Southside Clinic and the Barre Clinic, Holly has loved trying the different barre, yoga and ballet classes as a student, and is working on expanding her knowledge of these disciplines.
Clinical Pilates Instructor, Trainee Barre Instructor
Dianne studied dance as a child and received Pilates training at her local physiotherapy clinic. After moving to Canberra in 2008 Dianne commenced a Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Exercise Science. During this degree she decided that she wanted to learn more about the anatomy of the human body as well as help people rehabilitate their injuries and reach their personal goals. Dianne went on to successfully complete a Masters of Physiotherapy Degree at the University of Canberra.
Dianne has also completed studies in Pilates and works for our sister business, Southside Clinic as a physiotherapist and clinical Pilates instructor.
